Back on Day 1 of the Irish Open 2026 (all the way back on March 26), the €250 Super Seniors Championship attracted 216 entries and paid out €45,047 in prize money (top prizes chopped between David Smith and Paul Murnin).
That event had entry restrictions – 60 Years Young, as they say – and this one loosens those. Now at just 50 Years Young you can take part in the €1,150 Seniors High Roller Championship, starting today at 15:00. With 50,000 starting stacks and half hour blinds, this event challenges any on the schedule in generosity of structure, and Day 1 will play 16 levels (until just before midnight: everyone needs their sleep).
Day 2 (starting Friday, April 3 at noon) will be live blogged right here (click any tab on the Schedule for info about that event).
Live updates running today:
€350 America’s Cup Final Day
€115 Flip and Go Final Day
€350 PLO 6-Max Championship
€250 Irish Open Ladies Championship – Day 1
