Qualify for the Irish Open from €1.10

PokerStars will host €109 qualifiers on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with four Main Event seats guaranteed in each tournament. Every Sunday, players can compete for one of eight €1,500 packages, covering the €1,150 Main Event buy-in and providing additional funds towards travel and other expenses.

Feeder satellites starting from just €1.10 offer players a more affordable way to work towards a Main Event entry.

Satellites will be available on PokerStars.com and regional platforms, including PokerStars.it, PokerStars.fr and PokerStars.es. Guaranteed prize pools and satellite offerings may vary between platforms, depending on local availability and regulations.

Online Qualifiers Have Enjoyed Success in Dublin

PokerStars satellites have provided an accessible route into the Irish Open for players of all experience levels, with qualifiers going on to achieve notable results in the Main Event.

In 2023, David Docherty won the Irish Open Main Event for €365,000 after securing his entry through a €109 online satellite. His result showed what can be possible for players who choose to qualify online rather than pay the full buy-in.

The 2025 Irish Open also saw several PokerStars qualifiers reach the Main Event final stages. British player Brandon Harris finished sixth for €100,000, recording the largest live cash of his career at the time. He also cashed in the €350 NLH 6-Max Championship and the Mini Irish Open.

Two other PokerStars qualifiers reached the final table. Greece’s Panteleimon Pontos finished seventh for €77,500, while Romania’s Robert Fluereci took eighth place for €59,030.

These results reflect the opportunities online satellites can offer, allowing players to compete in a major live event after qualifying for a fraction of the direct buy-in.

What If You Win Multiple Tickets?

Players can win more than one ticket through the online satellites. The first ticket won must be used to enter the Main Event, while any additional tickets can be used for Main Event re-entries, entry into other €1,150 buy-ins on the schedule, or combined towards a higher buy-in tournament.

Players can also explore the PokerStars Power Path, which offers the opportunity to win Silver Pass packages worth $2,500 in buy-ins. Starting with low-cost Step 1 events, Power Path provides another route towards live poker events, including opportunities to compete at the Irish Open.
