2025 will mark the 45th year of the event with another unforgettable festival running April 14 to 21 at the Royal Dublin Society and including the €1 million guaranteed Main Event and €500,000 guaranteed Mini Irish Open which features with a €200 buy-in.

Run by Paul O’Reilly and JP McCann in collaboration with global poker sites PokerStars and Paddy Power, the Irish Poker Open is more than just a poker tournament; it’s an annual celebration of fun and festivities that attracts thousands of players from all over the globe. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or an enthusiastic amateur, the Irish Open offers a unique blend of world-class competition, unforgettable moments, and the “craic” – Ireland’s legendary hospitality. The partnership with PokerStars, Paddy Power and the iPoker network enables hundreds of players to win their way into the Main Event in online satellites.

The record-breaking 2024 Main Event attracted well over 3,000 entries and, across the 35 different tournaments on the schedule, there were more than 17,000 entries with close to €7.5 million awarded in prize money. The Irish Open also offers a lively cash game scene and, in 2024, a new dedicated cash game area was created, with its own bar and some 50 tables running 24/7.

The Irish Poker Open has always been more than just a poker tournament. Every night, the bars and player lounge are packed with players enjoying live music and a ton of games and off-the-felt competitions. The vibrant atmosphere makes the Irish Open wholly unique; every night is a real party and it’s little wonder that many players consider it their favourite event of the year.
