Hiep Ninh coughed up the chip lead in the 2024 Irish Poker Open €1,150 Main Event to Tero Laurila before earning it back by eliminating Mark Johnston.
According to PokerNews reporter Frank Visser, Johnston was flipping with nines with his 16 big blind stack against Ninh’s ace-jack suited. An ace hit the flop and Johnston was the first player out on the podium in third place for €232,685 thanks to the three-way deal agreed to earlier.
