A bumper field of 302 arrived to contend Day 1A of the miniature version of the Irish Open yesterday, Helio Limbardi Netto heading the remaining 23 players at the close with 720k.
The affordable buy-in of €200 – coupled with a tantalising €500k guarantee – proved an irresistible draw for many and these numbers will surely only increase as the Irish Open continues through the week and more and more eager patrons pour into the cavernous RDS hall.
We’re anticipating a huge field today and some exciting poker throughout. It may only be the mini version of the main event but for many, this will be their opportunity to stake a place in Irish Poker Open history.
Strap in for a fun day, and evening, of poker!
