Over $3 million in prize pool guarantees
Whether you’re nursing the mother of all hangovers – or never want the party to stop (or BOTH), then you won’t want to miss the Irish Open Afterparty, the online festival taking place on PokerStars starting on Sunday.
The series brings the Irish Open’s unmistakable ‘craic’ to the online PokerStars tables, giving you the chance to recreate the festival’s famous atmosphere in your own home!
The live version of Europe’s oldest and biggest poker tournament ended Monday at the Royal Dublin Society with record numbers – including more than 1600+ players who won their seats online.
The Irish Open Afterparty starts in just two days and runs until April 20, with more than $3 million guaranteed prize pools across a 69-event schedule. The $109 Celtic Fortune Main Event, which runs April 19 to April 20, features a $500,000 prize pool guarantee and there are three other events that also come with a six-figure guarantee. Tournament buy-ins range from $5.50 to $530.
Spraggy specials
PokerStars Ambassador Spraggy, who hosted his own Mystery Bounty at the live festival in Dublin two weeks ago, will be taking his compering skills online with two special tournaments on the opening day of the Afterparty – both featuring sizeable guarantees.

Paul O’Reilly, co-organiser of the Irish Open, said: “The connection between the Irish Open and online poker runs deep! Our partnership with headline sponsor PokerStars meant we had a huge number of online qualifiers this year – both package and Main Event seat winners and we’re looking forward to taking the party back online in just a couple of days!”
JP McCann added: “Our partnership with PokerStars gives us global reach with players attending the Dublin festival from all over the world so we are really looking forward to keeping the craic going online!”
Steve Clarricoats, PokerStars’ Associate Director of Poker Operations, said: “The Irish Poker Open is famous for its atmosphere as much as its poker, and we wanted to make sure that energy carries beyond the tournament floor and onto the online felt. Not everyone was able to make it to Dublin, but that shouldn’t mean missing out on the Irish Open experience. The online series gives players everywhere the chance to take part, compete for titles and be part of something special.”
