The Irish Open is heading to Marrakech this November for the second stop on its 2026 global tour – and the full schedule is now out!
The six-day festival takes place from November 10–15 at the Casino de Marrakech, with a total of 36 events and buy-ins ranging from €140 right up to €3,000.
At the heart of the festival is the flagship €1,155 buy-in Main Event which features four starting flights, including a Day 1d turbo. And there’s plenty more on offer, with a ton of side events and satellites.
Casino de Marrakech has been a leading destination for poker players for decades and has a long history of hosting major international tournaments. The Casino is located at the glamorous Es Saadi Resort and only a few minutes’ drive from Marrakech’s famous Jemaa El-Fnaa square, the medina and all the sights of the old city.
Please note that all Euro buy-ins listed on the schedule are subject to slight change depending on the exchange rate. All transactions at Casino de Marrakech take place in Moroccan Dirham (MAD) but, with Morocco’s currency pegged to the euro, fluctuations will be minimal.
The Main Event
The Irish Open Marrakech Main Event gets underway at noon on Wednesday, November 11, with the first of four starting flights, all featuring a 50,000 starting stack. Day 1a, Day 1b and Day 1c all have 40-minute levels, while the final turbo Day 1d on Friday has 15-minute levels.
Survivors return for Day 2 at 1pm on Saturday, November 14, with the Main Event playing down to a winner on the final day on Sunday, November 15. Players will also have plenty of chances to win their way into the Main Event with ten super satellites taking place at Casino de Marrakech.
Tons of side events
The Irish Open Marrakech festival features a substantial number of side events, kicking off with a €350 edition of The Hendon Mob Championship “THMC”. The Hendon Mob Championship is a regular feature right at the other end of the African continent – several tournaments have been held in
Cape Town and Johannesburg in recent years – but Irish Open Marrakech will be the first THMC ever to be held in North Africa.
No Irish Open would be complete without a Mini Irish Open! The two-day, €350 buy-in edition in Marrakech is kicking off at noon on Saturday, November 14 with a 30,000 starting stack and 30-minute levels.
The schedule also features a €250 Ladies Championship, a €350 Seniors Championship (50 years young) and a two-day €2,200 High Roller and a €3k Super High Roller.
PLO fans will also have plenty to keep themselves occupied with a €350 PLO 4/5/6 Card tourney, a €550 PLO 6-Max Turbo and a €1,150 PLO Mystery Bounty. NLH options at Irish Open Marrakech include two “Classic FreezeOuts” – a £350 edition on Thursday and a €250 edition on Saturday, plus a €250 Progressive Knock Out on Friday and several turbo and 6-Max tournaments. Marrakech will also see a debut for the Irish Open’s first NLH DeepStack Supersonic event – combining a 50,000 stack and 15-minute levels.
Special events for our first-ever stop in Marrakech include the €350 Africa’s Cup and the two-day €550 Marrakech Cup.

Debit and credit cards are widely accepted in hotels and around the city but you will need cash for taxis, shopping in the souks and eating in local cafes and restaurants. The main official languages in Marrakech are Arabic and Berber but French is very widely spoken and English is spoken in the casino and main tourist hotspots.

Marrakech is in the same time zone as London and Dublin and one hour behind Paris and Madrid. It is five hours ahead of New York and Toronto.
