Georgina James is no longer the chip leader! Much of the damage was done by Michelle Bricknell in the course of an enormous pot that saw 130k make its way into the middle before the flop. James check-called 50k from Bricknell on the 6c 2c Kc flop and she checked again on the Qd turn. This time James folded.

“Go on, show it!” shouted someone – and Bricknell obliged, revealing Ah Ad. Commented Sin Melin at the rail: “Wow, aces held up?” Bricknell increased her stack to 460k while James dropped to 490k.

A few small hands later, including an incident where James raised to 25k from the button but had to fold to a push from Elizabeth Bennett-Martin in the small blind, and James was down to 390k – still up there, but no longer in pole position. Bricknell is now the woman to beat.
