Because of course it does

If you have been paying attention to the record-breaking field sizes in side events so far at the PokerStars and Paddy Power-sponsored Irish Open 2025, it will come as no surprise that the €1,150 Main Event is on track to challenge its 2024 entry record (3,253).

This means that the €2,500,000 guarantee has been left in the rearview mirror, with nearly 3,000 players registered midway through Level 1 on Day 1D.  With queues forming down the hallway, expect four figures of Day 1D entrants by mid-way through registration and potentially a new record by the time tonight’s 20:00 Day 1E closes at midnight.

Main Event stats:

  • Day 1a  463 entries, 114 players advanced
  • Day 1b  688 entries, 179 players advanced
  • Day 1c  1,012 entries, 279 players advanced
  • Day 1d  ? more than Day 1c, guaranteed
  • Day 1e  ? everyone who’s busted the other four flights and can fire another bullet

Live reporting continues from the Main Event on PokerNews.
