While the €1,150 Irish Open Main Event may be the grandaddy of European poker tournaments, the €250 Mini Irish Open is a strapping grandson, boasting a €1,000,000 guarantee and running right from Day 1 of the festival until the very end (March 26 – April 6).
Today (18:00 kick-off) is the first of fourteen starting flights, the traditionally named Day 1A. Nothing standard about the guarantee, generous structure and affordable buy-in, though: this is a huge, player-friendly event that is likely to make headlines of its own.
Late registration for Day 1A closes at 22:00; unlimited re-entry is allowed in this one.
