Following a rather fuzzy evening in the bar (there may be video evidence of Will Kassouf doing “Angels” by Robbie Williams on the karaoke; contact me with cash offers for more), it’s an absolute joy to see that Day 1c numbers have already exceeded Day 1a (436) and Day 1b (461). We’re already up to 533 runners in this starting flight, with 510 players currently seated and in possession of chips. Players who have already done their first bullet include Deborah Worley-Roberts (who may also feature prominently in that Will Kassouf video which may be privately viewed on request at the bloggers’ table for a small donation of coffee, chocolate or painkillers), Niall Farrell (don’t think he’s in the video but he was definitely in the room at the time and I seem to recall some nudity), and Daragh Davey (blameless).
Not to worry though – a single re-entry is permitted in each starting flight, and there are satellites running at 4pm and 6pm for the turbo-format Day 1d which starts at 10pm. Registration is open right up until the start of Day 2 tomorrow at noon. God help us all.
