One of these 56 contenders (see PLAYERS tab above) will today receive the €47,748 top prize waiting at the top of the payouts from the €268,398 total prize pool in The Hendon Mob Championship. The success of this monster €350 event surely causes rejoicing in Hendon.
None of the original Mobsters lurk in the field, however, it’s Petar Petrov, David Ballestero Alvarez and Christoph Huber who start with the biggest stacks.
Play restarts at noon with live coverage from 13:00. The average stack is just 23 big blinds, but with half hour levels and no sharp increases (see STRUCTURE tab) there’s still plenty of room to challenge the chip leaders and fight for the trophy. The next player out will receive €800 but on the bright side can jump into the Open Face Chinese (OFC) Championship that starts at 12:00 too, for something a little bit different…
