Finally some proper action! Actually it was still a bit muted somehow – Cosmin Chis bet a relatively tiny 450k on the river of a Q-Q-X-X-X board and Andrew Hulme called, only to be shown quad queens. Neither player said anything although someone at the rail shouted an encouraging, “Come on Andrew!”. Hulme himself showed only the barest hint of emotion.
Chis now once again has a fairly convincing chip lead – 5 million or thereabouts to Hulme’s 2.8 million.
