Another busy flight in the Mini Irish Open witnessed 554 entries hitting the tables for Day 1H, chasing their share of the €1,000,000 guaranteed. After a long day packed with actions, only 28 players made it out with chips bagged for Day 2.

At the very top is Peggy Crawford, who bagged a giant (715,000) and became a clear Day 1H chip leader. Following closely behind is Kenneth Greaney with (680,000), with Sachin Kamal Joshi (593,000), Ronald Christiaan Gijtenbeek (560,000), and Zanas Lubys (540,000) for serious contention for a deep run further on.

The day was paved with fast-paced action amidst big multi-way pots and synchronize busing moves as thinning down proceeded among the late levels. With unlimited chances of re-entering into play and a clock of 20 minutes, the situation basically involved glittering action applied evenly against wide-open aggression for big stacks, and thus formed a volatile playing environment.

Katherine Best was the unfortunate money bubble, out just short of payday after a long grind through the packed field. Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, Atanas Pavlov exited bang on one of the two minutes before Day 2, thus bubbling off 5% of players who got a bag for the next stage. Post money bubble, classic scenarios of excitement defined that every short stack pushed their edge, every big stack cranked pressure to the limit, and eliminations took place at a furious pace. Players who survived the carnage and made it with bags of chips are now poised for a deep run as the Mini Irish Open finally looks forward to Day 2 in the record books.

Day 2 is just around the corner, where the prize pool is still swelling with each passing flight, and the dream of Mini Open glory is very much alive for survivors of the Day 1H chaos. The next flight starts on Saturday at 11:00 AM, and stay tuned for further coverage!
