Mindaugas Pagareckas just made a move to chip up but ran into the impassable barrier of Colin Horgan (pictured), whose Ah Th was just too strong to throw away. Horgan held a live but behind Qh 8h- and the Ad 4d Kh Jh 7h flop – although improving Pagareckas to a flush, also gave Horgan a superior, nutted flush.
Pagareckas out in 14th for €1,320 and the chatty Horgan is up to over 2 million chips…
He also eliminated the short-stacked Alex Smirnov, who’d been hanging on for dear life for some time, before his Q-9 lost out to Horgan’s K-5.
He was delighted with his €1,585 cash though…”I’ve just been making money sitting here!” he said to laughs as he went off to collect his winnings…
