Padraig Parkinson is not only a legend of Irish Poker but of poker around the world. The old-school Irish poker celebrity generated quite the buzz reaching the final 14 players in the Irish Poker Open Main Event. However, he was unfortunately one of the first players on the rail during the final day in 13th place for €24,660.

According to PokerNews reporter Frank Visser, Parkinson called a raise by Cypriot Georgios Tsouloftas with ten-five suited before jamming his stack on a ten-seven-seven flop. Tsouloftas called with pocket rockets and Parkinson’s impressive run in the Irish Poker Open €1,150 Main Event was in the books.
