So good, he named a tournament after himself! JP McCann, head honcho of this whole party, once again brings his hugely popular event to the Irish Open. The JP Poker Masters is a €550 buy-in NLH thing of glory, with 30 minute levels on Day 1 increasing to 40 minutes on Day 2, because that’s how JP rolls.
Last year’s event drew 305 entries and generated a prizepool of €148,687.50; Martin Noonan eventually took the biggest share (€27,324) after besting a tough final table that included such luminaries as Irish poker legend Collette Murphy.
In line with other events this year, we’re expecting a biiiiig big field for this one. Play begins at 2pm and late reg is open for eight levels. Who will get to have their name associated with the great JP for all time? Only time will tell. Join us back here for updates throughout the day, building up to full coverage for the final on Day 2.
