Mate Nagy has been eliminated in 34th place (€6,050) by Garry Spinks. Nagy, down to 11 big blinds, picked up 6c 6s and moved in preflop, finding action from the Nottingham reg. Spinks held Qc Qd, but had to fade a flopped up-and-down straight draw: 4h 6d 7c. He did better than just fade, as the turn and river ran out 4d Qs.
Spinks continues his quest to win the Irish Open which comes with a pledge to donate €100,000 to the dealers at his home card room of Dusk Till Dawn should he actually do so.
