The first two hands of heads-up were split before Richie Allen won the next two hands without any significant action. Lauri Liuttula then won a pot and they headed to the sixth hand of heads-up play when it was discovered that they had forgotten to post the big blind ante, which would have had major consequences at the start with the big lead of Allen.
What unfolded during that very hand was a pot-sized raise of Allen and Liuttula repotted to 1,150,000 for Allen to call. Liuttula had 200,000 behind to the flop and moved all-in, Allen called.
