While Day 2 of the record-breaking 2026 Irish Open Main Event is in full swing, poker players from near and far have another three tournament days to showcase their talents at the Royal Dublin Society. Nestled into the corner section right next to the feature table setup will be the start of the latest High Roller contest with Event #74 €3,000 High Roller 8-Max kicking off at 4 p.m. local time.
There was a strong turnout in the respective satellite for it and many familiar faces from the previous one and a half weeks are expected to jump into the action once more unless they are still in the Main Event. The two-day event comes with a starting stack of 50,000 and 40-minute levels of which a total of ten are played on the first day.
Unlimited re-entries are allowed for the entire first day and the late registration is open until the start of Day 2 at noon local time on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Half an hour prior to the start, there were already five players registered and it is expected to get underway as scheduled.
It would certainly be no surprise to see Finnish poker pro Roope Tarmi to enter the fray after he already collected two High Roller trophies during the ongoing festival. Tarmi boosted his overall cashes on The Hendon Mob to more than $1.5 million and may need to purchase additional hand luggage if he continues the success story in the next three days.
There will be three breaks today with a 50-minute dinner break scheduled after the completion of level five at approximately 7.35 p.m. local time and the action is expected to wrap up at midnight.
