It wouldn’t be the 2026 Irish Poker Open without a day of Omaha action and this time, the traditional four-card pot-limit version is replaced and one more card will be dealt to every participant. At 3 p.m. local time, Event #69 PLO 5 Card kicks off and the tournament allows for a single re-entry in the first eight levels and following break.

The buy-in of €550 will certainly attract several mixed game specialists from near and far, many of which have already showcased their talents in more than a week of exciting live poker action at the Royal Dublin Society.

It appears that this is a new event on the schedule and it comes with a 30-minute level structure and 30,000 chips starting stack. The opening blinds will be 100-200 with a big blind ante of 200 and there will be a break every four levels with a 50-minute dinner break upon completion of level 12.

Half an hour prior to the start, there are 16 players registered including Danilo Donnini, Endrit Geci, Manfred Gunther, and Melissa Moore. Also signed up already is Junior Roberts from Canada, who led 52 survivors into the final day of the €350 PLO 6-Max Championship in which he bowed out in 18th place.

This will be straight Pot-Limit Omaha and no hi-lo shenanigans as in the Big O Championship on the first day of the festival in Dublin, by the way.
