The new level kicked off with a few quick-fire hands and Gareth McMahon then raised to 240,000 on the button. Darren McBrearty three-bet the pot to 840,000 in the small blind and McMahon called.
On the flop, McBrearty bet 500,000 for McMahon to call. They checked the turn and McBrearty jammed the river for around 1,200,000.
McMahon was not pleased but couldn’t fold, instantly rolling over his for queens full of aces.
“I thought that was a good card, king of hearts,” McBrearty said as he showed his for the nut flush blocker to bust in third place.
As the final two players readied their stacks and coloured up some smaller denominations, McMahon jokingly told Hynam “heads-up with you of all fuckin people”.
Hynam joked back “one hour dinner break?!” but they carried on with the play.
