It’s all been a bit small-ball for the last little while. Marty Gorenc proposed a chop, but Alessandro Pichierri, probably still in shock after doubling up Jacob Mulhern in that massive hand, would prefer an opportunity to build his short stack back up. His slightly unnerving ability to twiddle a chip in one direction with one hand while simultaneously spinning the top card of his hand in the opposite direction suggests a man who has the patience and strength of mind to wait for a spot. We’re just going to have to wait it out – with the blinds/BB ante shortly going up to 80k/160k/160k, something’s got to give eventually.
