The €250 Irish Amateur Poker Championship is well underway with 109 entries so far (and six eliminations already! Fine work, boys).
Among the field are former APAT champion Niall “Firaldo” Farrell, newly busted from the Luxon Pay High Roller, as well as 6-Max runner up Carl Dobrzelewski, recent European Deepstack champion Tomas “LuckyMo32” Geleziunas, 2022 European Deepstack champion Shawn Morales, Big Mick Graydon, and Albert Sapiano fresh from his 37 offsuit mishap in the Americas Cup.
This is a two day event and a freezeout, and is unique among the side events here at the Irish Open in that no deals are permitted – if you make it to the final table, you are obliged to play it right down to a winner, no matter how ungodly the hour may be, in order that the gold, silver and bronze ✨medals✨ may be properly awarded to their respective winners.
