Irish Open 2026 – Tournament Room

The (dog) whistle is about to blow for the start of Event #75: Old Dogs and Young Pups.

In this blog thread, you can follow the fortunes of the *ahem* more seasoned players, while over here, you can keep up with the progress of the young whippersnappers.

This is sure to be a fun event. As the festival enters its finishing straight, the beers have been flowing, and the fabled Irish Open craic is in evidence everywhere you go.

As with the Kings and Queens tournament earlier in the festival, this is a “one-for-one” event, meaning the field will be split exactly 50/50 between the vintage and the virile.

This is the first appearance of such a tournament at the Irish Open, so the competition will have a little extra edge — the kudos that goes with being any event’s inaugural winner.

Stay tuned for all the updates.
