Last year’s €1 million guaranteed Luxon Mystery Bounty broke records as the biggest tournament of its kind ever held in Ireland and … guess what .. the Luxon MB has done it again. Across the four starting flights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, we have had 1,175 entries for this year’s edition. The total prize pool and mystery bounties will be announced after start of Day 2 today.
Just as in 2025, the Mystery Bounty has proven a popular opener to the PokerStars-sponsored Irish Open (the seven-figure guarantee was certainly eye-catching), and players have come from 46 countries to take part. Now the stage is set for the excitement of Day 2, when Mystery Bounties come into play at every elimination.
Patting themselves on the back (probably) are 289 players who have made it through to today’s action with British player Razvan Dolcan leading the Luxon hopefuls. He bagged up 745,00 on last Thursday’s Day 1a – the first day of the festival.

Notables who are all comfortably through to Day include EPT founder John Duthie – currently in ninth place on 526,000.
Also through are Team Jaka captain Michael Dwyer (487,000) and his brother John, Mitchell Johnson – the 2024 PLO 7-Max champion (485,000), Jack Hardcastle (475,000), 2025 Beer Pong champion Junior Roberts, 2013 Irish Open champion Ian Simpson, 2022 Irish Open champion Steve O’Dwyer, Michael Hunsucker, Jamie Flynn – who is currently leading the Irish Open cashes leaderboard, this year’s Big O champion Barry Grime, Carl Cullen, Sinead Davenport, John O’Shea, Jan Bendik, Andrew Hulme, Umberto Ruggeri, Irish Open Ambassador (and yesterday’s PLO winner Chris Dowling and 2019 Irish Open Main Event champion Wei Jie Zheng who has 398,000.
Last year, Austrian player Nils Pudel took down the festival opener for a first prize of €71,091 and another €14,460 in bounties. The event attracted 1,222 entries creating a €1,191,450 prize pool including €595,725 for the bounties. Jorge Rios from Spain captured the enormous top bounty of €102,600.
