When registration closed today, another 24 entrants had taken their seats in the highest buy-in event of the festival, making the 84-runner field’s combined prize pool a hefty €389,025. Full payouts:

The final table is now set and will play to a winner tonight alongside Day 1a of the Main Event, the Americas Cup and Day 1 of the €250 Irish Amateur Poker Championship. The mammoth space contained within the RDS is in danger of looking like it could fill up – something barely imaginable three days ago when the industrious team that build the poker equivalent of the Olympic Village set to work transforming the place.
It’s no surprise that there will be no easy ride to the trophy for any of the finalists, given the line-up (and the standard of the field overall). Here’s who’s left in contention:
