Some fun trivia for you: Irish Open head honcho JP McCann’s first job way back in the day was in the frozen foods department at popular Irish department store chain Dunnes Stores, where his boss was none other than PokerStars’ Dave Curtis.
“Yeah he was really good,” says Curtis, now “Head of Legal Operations and Business Affairs” at PokerStars, of his former underling.
Now here they are, reunited in very different circumstances after so many years, enjoying the sunshine and a pint along with a bonus Fintan Gavin who just wandered along while I was taking a photo. This is why we love the Irish Open.
