The tournament area for the 2024 Irish Open at Royal Dublin Society

The second out of eight days of the longest-running live poker tournament in Europe will be a busy one at the Royal Dublin Society in the city center of Dublin. It’s once again time for local poker pros and visitors from all over the world to showcase their talents at the tables while enjoying the Irish craic and having a pint or two.

That’s what the annual Irish Open is about and the latest edition is no different based on the inaugural day of the series. A total of seven different tournaments take place today (March 26, 2024), with the €350 Heads-Up Championship kicking off the shenanigans at noon local time. This event is well and truly sold out! Four rounds are scheduled all the way to the quarter final stage but no trophy will be awarded yet, as the semi-final and grand finale are scheduled for the tomorrow. Michael Kane won last year’s Heads-Up Championship after beating Austria’s Alex Moser heads-up.

The Hendon Mob Championship (THMC) & €5k Luxon Pay High Roller

There will be just one trophy awarded today with the one-day Event #6 €250 “THMC” The Hendon Mob Championship starting at 2pm local time. Two Milestone satellites for the €5,000 Luxon Pay High Roller are also part of the schedule at 4pm and 8pm respectively, while Day 1 of the target event kicks off in the evening as well.

Last but not least, Day 1b of the €200 Mini Irish Open Championship Event kicks off at 6pm local time and another Milestone satellite for the 2024 Irish Open €1,150 Main Event rounds up the schedule. It comes with a bargain of just €135 with at least ten seats guaranteed.

More than 800 players have won their entry to the marquee event of the series on Paddy Power as well as PokerStars, and it is expected to be another huge field after last year’s 2,491 entry strong turnout.

– 12pm/2.30pm/5pm: Championship Heads-Up Rounds 1, 2 & 3
