With his elimination of Carlo Wolters, Tudor Bortha is now claimed the winner of the €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty. For his outstanding performance, he takes home €110,700 (€96,700 for finishing 1st, and an additional €14,000 in bounties), the coveted trophy, and the prestigious title.
It was a thrilling conclusion to the tournament, to say the least. While the heads-up didn’t last longer than perhaps 30 minutes, three-handed play went on for ages, with 3rd-place finisher Stanislaw Grodek displaying excellent skills of patience to defy the odds multiple times. All in all, the final day of the tournament lasted about 13 and a half hours. Now, Bortha (and Wolters, for that matter) can both exhale, relax, and reload for the upcoming tournaments.
