The business part of the 2026 Irish Open at the Royal Dublin Society is slowly but surely approaching and the stakes are increasing for poker enthusiasts from near and far. Several Omaha tournaments have already found a winner in the previous five days and one of them even concluded today with the victory of Balazs Somodi in the €5,000 PLO High Roller.

It will be very likely to see Somodi back in action as of 7 p.m. local time when the next four-card action gets underway, as Day 1 of Event #49 PLO 8-Max is set to kick off. The tournament comes with a price tag of €1,150 and features 30-minute levels throughout with a total of ten scheduled for tonight.

Two breaks are scheduled and unlimited re-entries are allowed all day long whereas the late registration remains open until the start of Day 2 tomorrow. The Irish Open blogger team will be on the floor to cover all of the action tonight, so stay tuned for more news on this very page.
