Keith Mccormack completed and Sascha Manns made it three bets for Mccormack to call. Mccormack bet his lead on fourth and Manns called despite pairing his five. Mccormack then check-called fifth and checked sixth.
The bet of Manns was for nearly the entire stack of Mccormack, who mulled it over for a few seconds and then got the last of it in for an additional 25,000 on top – Manns called.
“That is bad … am I dead?” Mccormack asked when he spotted the ace deuce in the hole for Manns.
He was not quite dead but needed a deuce or five to avoid elimination. There was no help with a paired ace as his final card and the epic heads-up duel concluded. Manns grabbed the trophy and lifted it up with a “finally” before smiling into the camera.
Runner-up Mccormack fought intensely and had to settle for a consolation prize of €6,300.
