A new battle of the sexes has been devised by Lisa and Scott Roberts – the poker-playing couple from Atlanta widely known as Team Roberts.
Unlike some 50/50 events, there will be no need for men and women to rush around trying to find a “partner” for the Kings and Queens tourney. It’s not a team event – just one featuring balanced numbers of male and female participants. The Ladies’ flight has been running since 15:00 and the number of female entrants will determine how many can enter this Men’s flight (starting at 18:00).
The €250 buy-in tournament features unlimited re-entries for the first three hours on Day 1 and both starting flights will end with an equal number of survivors. Day 2 will therefore begin with an equal number of men and women still in contention for the title. Players will get a starting stack of 30,000 with 25-minute blind levels.
