Level 5: 112/121 Entries Remain
Blinds: 600/1,200 – 300

With a price tag of €350, the Mixed 8-Game Championship is aimed towards the recreational players and has proven to be very popular in the last few years during the Irish Poker Open in Dublin. For this year’s edition, a 30-minute level structure and 30,000 chips starting stack once again provide plenty of wiggle room to showcase the talents in eight different poker variants.

During the first four levels, the field reached 121 entries and 112 players remain. Among the early casualties were Nils Hallenstam, Dan Dolcan, Kami Chisholm, Cengiz Karasu and Lee Horton. The early chip leader and only participant with a six-figure stack appears to be Nicholas Mingoia who has 101,000 in chips to show for.

A quick glance through the list of participants reveals quite well known players such as Riku Koivurinne, Sascha Manns, Nicolas Bokowski, Dutch poker reporter Frank Visser, Bill Mawer, Rob Sherwood, June Jenkins, Mick Graydon, 888poker ambassador Ian Simpson, and PokerStars ambassador Georgina James.

Day 1 is scheduled to play down to the money, after which all those advancing will bag up chips and return at noon local time to determine the champion.
