One of the highlights of the opening week, the €1,000,000 Guaranteed €1,150 Luxon Mystery Bounty, has the final starting heat slated for an 8 p.m. start tonight at the Royal Dublin Society.
While the previous three flights featured 40-minute levels, Day 1D is designed as a fast-paced turbo, with blinds going up every 20 minutes. The mission remains the same, though: make it through the first 15 levels and find a bag. Those who accomplish that will be just inches away from paid places as the bubble bursts early on Sunday.
The tournament has drawn over 900 entrants so far. As expected, Saturday has seen the largest turnout. Those who find no luck on Day 1C may opt for the repechage in another section of the massive tournament room. The guaranteed €1 million is about to be eclipsed, so there are enticing prizes awaiting those who successfully maneuver through the field today and tomorrow.
Day 1A: 113 entries, 18 progressed to Day 2 (led by Razvan Dolcan with 745,000 chips)
Day 1B: 254 entries, 53 progressed to Day 2 (led by Leslie Packer with 718,000 chips)
Day 1C: 524 entries, playing to 79 players
