The €200 Irish Open Deaf Championship Main Event heads to Day 2 having attracted nearly ten times the runners of the inaugural event last year. The 224 entries generated a prize pool of €36,938 which will be paid out amongst the 33 Day 2 players on Saturday.
In the lead is Sami Starck with 448,000 chips, whose stack surpassed that of day 1A’s leader Paul Whitehead by just one 1,000-value chip. Irish Open Ambassador Darren Chow lies in sixth place overnight with 347,000, and last year’s winner Starny Hoang is still in contention with 203,000.
Day 2 players’ chip counts and seat draw can be found under PLAYERS on the Day 2 tab (above). Makes perfect sense.
