After two days of intense action — including an explosive final table — Jennifer Frankenstein emerged victorious from a record field of 175, which generated a prize pool of €36,496.

Frankenstein and Kristiana Stauere agreed to a straight money chop, and with the former having slightly more in chips, she was awarded the title.

In an unusual twist, a second trophy was provided for the event — courtesy of the Women’s Poker Association. The duo agreed to split the bling too, with Stauere taking home the ancillary trinket.

Frankenstein has been busy this week — notably finishing on the final table bubble of the Kings and Queens tournament on Monday, while husband Brian Harris went on to finish in 5th. You can read all about their story here.

The final day was all-action, from the get-go to the let-go: the entire affair lasting just over 2½ hours — and that included two breaks!

Debs “The Destoyer” Worley-Roberts and Kristina Quinn fell in the same hand, barely five minutes into the day, and that set the tone for the rest of the proceedings.

Long-time friend of the Open, Elizabeth Bennett-Martin, was next to go — Lesley Thompson following her in short order.

Julie McCann and Marina Mendy put up spirited resistance but succumbed in 5th and 4th place, respectively.

Rounding out the top three, was Baoyun Li, the last Irishwoman standing in this sensational event.
