Finland’s Roope Tarmi won the €10k Super High Roller yesterday, only a few days after winning the €5k High Roller. He snagged €79,945 for his SHR victory and €88,000 in the High Roller. Tarmi is our first double champion at this year’s Irish Open – and he just needs to bag one more to match Javier Francort’s triple wins in 2025.
Tarmi’s trip to Ireland keeps him on track for an outstanding 2026, following hot on the heels of his lucrative sojourn to EPT Paris where he cashed three times (including a runner-up finish in the €2k Deep Stack event.) His total live tournament winnings already stand at $1.4 million.
The Super High Roller attracted ten runners including three who won seats in a live satellite the night before. Tarmi was chip leader for yesterday’s final, and he and runner-up Joris Ruijs were the only cashers – the Dutch player got €43,000 for second place. You can read all about it here.

Tennback wins €350 America’s Cup
Sweden’s Alexander Tennback achieved a new live poker career record yesterday when he took down the €350 America’s Cup Win for €40,633. Tennback was on his first visit to the Irish Open after qualifying online and had already decided to make the most of his trip by entering some side events before yesterday’s victory. He cut a heads-up deal with Alessandro Giombetti who won €31,168. There were 795 entries in total – a big increase on 2025’s 685-entry field. You can read all about it HERE.

Flip and Going
With his elimination of Per Koi, Tristan Ragnarsson is now crowned the champion of the second €115 Flip and Go tournament. He conquered the field that consisted of 12 entries on the “Go” stage (and 120 entries overall), taking home €3,160 (the largest chunk of the €11,640 prize pool) and the coveted trophy. There is one more Flip and Go tournament on the schedule; the flip flight will be on Sunday, April 5, at 9pm, and Day 2 will commence the day after at noon. Jiang Pu won the first Flip & Go for €5,700.

Gareth McMahon wins the PLO 6-Max Championship
According to our blogging team, local hero Gareth McMahon “ran like God” to take down the €350 PLO 6-Max Championship yesterday for €23,825. The tournament attracted a field of 394 entries to generate a prize pool of €118,476 and paid the top 53 spots with 52 hopefuls returning for the final day. Jack Hardcastle finished fourth for €4,800. You can read all about it here.
Covrig wins Spraggy Mystery Bounty
Romania’s Sergiu Covrig outlasted a monster field in the €550 Spraggy Mystery Bounty yesterday. The event attracted 721 entries with Covrig claiming victory on Friday morning. Covrig takes home over €40,000, including bounties, while his heads-up opponent Baris Topuz walked away with €37,590.

One of the players who profited most from the tournament’s mystery aspect was former Irish Open champion Dan Wilson, who found €23,500 in the envelopes and picked up the third-largest payout despite finishing 26th. The top 103 players reached paid places with the €349,686 prize pool split evenly between regular payouts and bounties.
Sadly none of those who won their entries into the event via victory in Spraggy’s Quid Games made the money. However, Quid Games participant Gerard Carbo from Spain won the Spraggy MB Last Longer. The prize is supposed to be a Main Event ticket but he’s already through to Day 2 with a healthy 439,000 chip stack so he’ll be receiving a generic €1,150 ticket instead.
