The clock has struck 15:00, and it’s time for the live coverage of the €5,000 NLH High Roller 8-Max. The tournament kicked off at 14:00, and there are currently 13 players in the field. There is also an ongoing satellite, which will send at least another five players into the mix.
Steve O’Dwyer and Roope Tarmi are two notable names in the field from the get-go, a field that is only going to grow stronger and better. Late registration is open until 22:19, and all players can do unlimited re-entries up ’til then. It’s a two-day affair; Day 1 will wrap up when 15 % of the field remains (in the money).
Last year, it was Belgium’s Kenny Hallaert who emerged victorious, navigating his way through a field that consisted of 147 entries to claim a €140,764 first-place payout, the biggest share of the €680,000 prize pool (Hallaert made a deal heads-up with Finland’s Elias Suhonen, who got €134,526). With such impressive numbers in mind, it’ll be exciting to see this year’s edition unfold.
