Chris Barnard is celebrating an awesome evening at the Irish Open Spin & Go tables after taking down three tourneys in a row. Even better than that, one of the games featured the maximum prize pool of €1,000.
Barnard, who is also last year’s Beer Pong champion (along with partner Junior Roberts), had never played Spin & Go before tonight but is now a firm fan.
The 29-year-old from Rugby, UK, said: “Last year was my first Irish Open but obviously, after winning the Beer Pong, I had to come back to join Junior and defend our title.”
Tonight has seen a ton of players sit down at the teeny tiny Spin & Go tables and compete for prizes of €100 and up. €50 gets you in, high card does the spin and, as Chris Barnard is aware, you could be playing for anything up to €1,000.
Also a happy bunny tonight is Alex Smirnov from Estonia who won €100.

The Irish Open is hosting Spin & Go Live every single night of the festival so, if anything delays your arrival at the Craic Den this year, it’s going to be this! If you’ve never played Spin & Go before, drop in for a session. These games are FAST and when we say fast, we mean you will struggle to get a pint of Guinness down before it’s all over.
Each game features four-minute blind levels, a 4,000 starting stack and kicks off with 100/200 blinds and a 500 ante. The fun comes with the “spin” which means the prize pool could be anything up to €1,000! All you have to do to enter is rock up (with cash or your cash game chips) and get your name down. With a €50 buy-in, players could be competing for a prize pool of up to €1,000 (20 x multiplier.) Spin & Go Live runs on demand – as soon as three players are registered and seated, cards are in the air. High card wins the button and the honours of pressing the ‘SPIN’ button to decide the prize multiplier. Spin & Gos are winner takes all (no deals!) and also, just so you know, these tourneys don’t award points for the PokerStars Live League.
