Another day and another record-breaking day at the 2025 Irish Poker Open as the JP Masters attracted a massive 742 entries at the Royal Dublin Society. Players bagged up after 18 levels of play, and 48 will return tomorrow to compete for the trophy and the top prize of €66,300.
Lithuania’s Aleksandras Nagreckis is the chip leader with a gargantuan 2,205,000, which will be worth 110 big blinds when the players return tomorrow at midday. Nagreckis was at the top of the chip standings for most of the day, and he may have had more if David Dean didn’t spike his five on the turn when he punted with queen-five suited.
In second place on the leaderboard is Germany’s Jessica Marks, who won the WSOP Online International Ladies Championship in 2023 with 1,350,000 chips. She will be looking for her biggest-ever live score tomorrow, which will be secured with an 11th-place finish or better.
Making up the top three is Canadian Fraddy Gonzalez, who also has WSOP hardware in the form of a WSOPC Ring that he won in 2022 in St Maarten. He will come back tomorrow with 1,180,000.
