Championship Event – €550 JP Poker Masters
The JP Masters has finished Day 1 with 28 players remaining of the 347 entries – well up on last year’s field of 302. The current chip leader is Marius Ignat on 895k; he faces a tough battle today though – the remaining field includes 2022 Americas Cup winner Mor Kamber, EPT High Roller finalist Paul Leckey, and professional chip manipulator Will Kassouf. 11 players have already taken their share of the €169,163 prize pool; first prize is €33,923 and the next player to bust will collect €1,320. €3k Championship High Roller
There are 64 players left from the 122 entries into the €3k Championship High Roller which began yesterday evening. The survivors include Steve O’Dwyer (now committed to just regular old chairs for the duration), PokerStars Ambassador Parker Talbot, 2011 Main Event finalist John Eames and 2016 Main Event champ Dan Wilson. Top of the chip counts going into Day 2 however is Hungarian property developer Benjamin ”Benji” Lebor on 286,100. Lebor had a very deep run at EPT Prague last December, finishing 13th for €62,450. That was his best live cash to date but he’s sitting pretty for the final day of the €3k High Roller. Also still in are Alexios Zervos, Padraig O’Neill, Scott Margereson, Paul Newey, GUKPT London champ Johnathan McCann, Wadey Ashraf, Heads-Up winner Michael Kane and America’s Cup champion Alessandro Pichierri. The final number of entries is likely to go up – late reg is open right up until the start of play today.
Last year’s event was a €2k and attracted 157 entries with Danny Pyke beating GUKPT Ambassador Jamie Nixon heads-up for the trophy and a €65,840 first prize.

€350 Championship PLO 6-Max
Irish player John McGinn is leading the freezeout €350 Championship PLO 6-Max on 900k. Carl Dobrzelewski, who was runner-up in the very first event of the festival, is currently second in chips on 855k. There are 18 players left in the tournament, all vying for a €13,689 first prize. They were include Frode Fragerli, Andrew Grimason and Adam Bromley. There were 195 players in total creating a prize pool of € 58,930. Five players have already cashed including Canadian regular June Jenkins who picked up €745.
