Main Event

How much does it cost to enter the Main Event?

Entry is AUD 2,000

How many live Day 1's can I play?

You can play as many of the 6 x live Day 1’s you choose to.

Can I re-enter a Live Day 1 on the same day if I am eliminated?

Yes, there is an optional re-entry available for each Live Day 1 until the end of play.

Can you buy-in directly into Day 2?

No, you can not buy in to Day 2 before the start of play.

What happens if I have multiple stacks going into Day 2?

Only your highest stack will be carried through to Day 2.

What percentage of the field gets paid?

We will pay 15% of the field.

Do I need an online poker account to participate in tournaments at the festival?

No, this is not a requirement.

Will I need photo ID to play tournaments at the Festival?

Yes, all players will be required to provide photographic proof of identification. All players must register for Irish Poker Open events using their real legal name, and this is the name that will be used publicly in tournament reporting, chip counts, and results. We do not allow players to register under alternative or preferred names for public display.

Will I appear on television?

Yes, it's possible. By participating in any of the tournaments at the Irish Open Sydney, players acknowledge that they may appear on broadcasting footage and agree to same.

What happens if I win multiple online satellite tickets to the Main Event?

– Under NO circumstances will there be refunds given by the event organisers. From the date a Irish Open Ticket is won, there is a 12 month window to use that ticket in any of the Irish Open events which are listed on the homepage.

What happens if I win a satellite and cannot play the event?



– There are no refunds or cash alternatives available if a player is unable to play the event. If you cannot attend the event the seat will be forfeited.



All event tickets won through sponsorship partners must be used exclusively for the designated destination event as specified in the sponsorship offer. In most cases tickets can be treated asIrish Open Credit



If a participant successfully wins multiple event tickets through different sponsorship companies, the responsibility lies with the player to familiarise themselves with and adhere to the specific terms and conditions of each sponsoring entity.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure in (but not limited to) any obligation to offer a guaranteed prize pool, in the event of acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control including (but not limited to) acts of God, fire, explosion, accidental damage, flood, earthquake, adverse weather conditions or other natural disaster, communicable diseases including, but not limited to, bird flu and swine flu, war, threat of or preparation for war, terrorist attack, civil war, civil commotion or riots and voluntary or mandatory compliance with any law (including a failure to grant any licence or consent needed or any change in the law or interpretation of the law.

What happens if I win multiple online satellite tickets to the Main Event?

– The first ticket won for the Irish Poker Open Main Event won via an Online platform MUST be used in the destination event.



– Under NO circumstances will there be refunds given by the event organisers. All unused tickets will be entered into the destination event. The onus is on the player to play the first ticket in The Main Event of The Irish Open and any additional tickets won can be used for:



- Re-entry into the Main Event

- Entry into the €1,000,000 GTD Mystery Bounty

- Entry into any of the other 8 x €1,150 entry tournaments

- As part-payment for entry into any of the 6 x High Roller events

- Additional tickets can not be broken down to lower than €1,150 tournaments



What happens if I win a satellite and cannot play the event?



– There are no refunds or cash alternatives available if a player is unable to play the event. If you cannot attend the event the seat will be forfeited.



All event tickets won through sponsorship partners must be used exclusively for the designated destination event as specified in the sponsorship offer.

If I win a package online to the Irish Poker Open Sydney , can I bring a guest?

Everyone is welcome at the Irish Poker Open Sydney – the more the merrier.

What happens if I win multiple online satellite tickets to the 'Mini" Irish Open Event (€250)?

Mini Irish Open tickets won online are non transferable. The only exception for a transfer of a ticket for this event is if a player has 'bagged' for Day 2 of The Mini Irish Open.



Remaining unused tickets which were won online can not be redeemed for cash or used for other tournaments in the schedule.



All tickets must be used for The Mini Irish Open.
