Yurii Zabrodotskyi has stormed to victory in the €1,150 PLO 8-Max, taking the trophy and first-place prize of €56,213. After laying waste to the final table, the Ukrainian entered heads-up play with a commanding lead over Irishman Eoghan Rogers. Although Rogers briefly threatened a comeback with a double-up in the first hand, Zabrodotskyi would river a straight in the next deal to seal the title.

Zabrodotskyi has racked up 29 recorded results since his first entry in January 2024, boasting cashes of over $270,000, with this result representing his second biggest score.

The tournament gained a total of 270 entries, generating a €276,413 prize pool. The prize pool was split between the top 39 players, with a minimum cash good for €1,900. James Noonan was the last player to depart without a return on investment – bubbling after failing to appear for Day 2, believed lost to the Craic Den.

The knockouts came thick and fast after the bubble, with the field quickly reduced to the final two tables. Daniel Tjordman was the long-term chip leader at this stage, but he would ultimately come unstuck at the final table.

The final table was set when Simen Gulbrandsen busted to Zabrodotskyi, and the Ukrainian proved to be an unstoppable force from there – knocking out Tjordman, Ahmad Al-Shanti, Tim Chung, Gabriel Vezina, Seamus Cahill and Rogers on his way to the title.
