There is something unique about the atmosphere at the Irish Poker Open; even though everyone’s here to put all their poker skills on full display, it’s always a friendly and joyful atmosphere on and around the tables.

At Table 3, Erwin Wiechers attempted to limp from the Small Blind. As he put in a second 100-chip, he glanced over at Big Blind-player Andreas Putz with a cheeky smile that said, “Please check”. Putz accepted the request with a small laugh.

Wichers continued for 300 on the flop and Putz made the call. On the turn, Wichers now bet 600. Putz leaned forward, inspected Wichers’ stack, and asked, “How much do you have left?” which is quite funny, seeing as this was perhaps the seventh hand of the tournament, and both players still had around starting stack. After sharing joy, Putz made the call.

The action went check-check on the river.

Erwin Wichers:
Andreas Putz:

Queen High was good, and Putz took down this relaxed Blind vs. Blind Confrontation.

Andreas Putz: 32,000
Erwin Wichers: 28,000
