€350 HORSE Championship

Also on today is Day 1 of the two-day €350 HORSE Championship starting at 2pm. HORSE rotates hands of Hold’em, Omaha Hi/Lo, Razz (Seven Card Stud Low), Seven Card Stud High, and Eight-or-Better (also called Stud Hi-Lo). Canada’s David Dongwoo Ko took down last year’s Championship for €11,000. Updates will be here.

€350 Deaf High Roller
Judging by the insatiable demand for poker from all the Deaf players here at the 2026 Irish Open, there is likely to be a big turnout for the final scheduled event in the “festival within a festival”. The €350 Deaf High Roller gets underway at 2pm. Details will be here.

Cuatro Cuatro Cuatro

We have another debut Cuatro tournament today with the two-day €3k NLH edition starting at 2pm. Details will be here.

Mixed 8-Game Championship
The final of the €350 buy-in two-day Mixed 8-Game Championship starts today at 2pm. Nicolas Bokowski is the current chip leader with 660,000 in chips, very closely followed by Andree Borrmann with 568,000. Stacks decrease in bigger chunks thereafter, with Chris Bean lying in 3rd (443,000), Nikolay Bilyk in 4th (329,000) and Blaise Bourgeois in 5th (319,000).  Sunday’s winner will take home €12,850, with a min-cash worth €500. The tournament attracted 183 runners and will pay out €55,028 in prize money. Live updates of today’s final will be here.

It’s Day 1d of the €250 buy-in, €1 million guaranteed Mini Irish Open at 6pm – details on that can be found here. A total of xxx players are already through to Day 2 from the first three flights. There are 14 flights in total for this epic tournament.

Kings and Queens

Another exciting tournament making its Irish Open debut today is Kings and Queens. Designed as a true battle of royalty, the €250 tournament will pit female players against the men in a unique and highly competitive format that’s sure to become a festival favourite.

Lisa and Scott Roberts – the poker-playing couple from Atlanta widely known as Team Roberts – will be hosting the debut event and are looking forward to playing out their own personal poker rivalry in the dedicated men v women tournament. Flip it

The first Flip and Go tourneys are taking place tonight between 9pm and 11pm. The concept is simple: a super-quick Day 1 FLIP stage (today) which hot-seats each winner straight into tomorrow’s Day 2 – a conventional €1k freezeout. No more grind!!! You’ll know within a matter of seconds if you’re through to Day 2. Full details in our news story.

Live satellites
There are four live satellites running today – three for the Main Event and a 1pm satellite for the €3k Cuatro NLH High Roller. The Main Event sats are 2 x  €140 buy-in, 100k milestone satellite with ten seats guaranteed plus a €255 buy-in 50k milestone satellite with five seats guaranteed.

Sunday night in the Craic Den
We have a new competition taking place in the Craic Den tonight – I’m a Poker Player, Get Me Out of Here starting at 9.30pm. Entertainment whizz Phil Baker will be seeing just how far you’re prepared to go in a series of challenging “Bushtucker” trials that test nerves, bravery and dignity in equal measure. If you’re nervous, arrive early and stoke up on some Dutch courage during Paddy Power’s Happy Hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.

Live music gets underway at 11pm with the Blues Juniors.
