The second flight of the Irish Open Main Event is about to commence and we anticipate another day replete with drama & hard-fought poker. Today’s participants will be looking to match or exceed the impressive stack of 287k yesterday’s chip leader Tan Le garnered over the course of the ten one hour levels.
Already, the City West’s cavernous conference room is filled with the gentle sounds of chips being riffled – excited chatter rippling across the hundreds of tables. We talked to many players yesterday and the same theme cropped up time and time again. It’s great to be back playing live poker. We wholeheartedly concur.
If the Main Event isn’t enough for you, there will also be the ¢250 Ladies Event at 14:00, the ¢250 Shortstack championship event (also at 14:00) and the ¢150 PLO Deepstack at 18:00. On top of this, we’ll have trophy presentations & interviews for yesterday’s winners, numerous Main Event Satellites running through the day and streamed coverage of featured tables from the Main Event.
