Charlie Waters and Michal Havavka have been engaged in such a long heads-up battle that they have exceeded the blind levels predicted for this tournament. After making a deal an hour prior, the levels have crept up so much that there are only 30 big blinds in play.

Within that time, Havavka wrestled back the lead with a two-to-one chip advantage. Waters moved all in from the small blind for 7,000,000 and was called by Havavka.

For the second time in heads-up Waters shoved with a weaker ace, but this time she couldn’t improve. The board of secured the win for Havavka, who picked up the THMC trophy, and a package to Cape Town, South Africa, to play in the THMC Cape Town Million.

A shattered looking Waters can take solace by taking the bigger share of the prizepool for a cool €40,000, which is her biggest ever live score.
