Level 1: 100-200/200
A new low-stakes tournament kicked off a few minutes ago with Event #13 €350 America’s Cup – Championship and unlike the name may indicate, it is actually open to everyone here at the Royal Dublin Society. Initially, when the Irish Open hosted this tournament in previous years, participants had to be hailing from North and South America, giving those such as Irish-American Steve O’Dwyer quite an advantage to snag the trophy.
That requirement is no longer the case, though, and the action is already underway. The first ten levels last 25 minutes each and a single re-entry can be purchased during the registration period, which is open until the start of level nine.
So far, the tournament board shows 150 entries with one player out and the Irish Open blog team will pick up the action in the mid as well as late stages. In the meanwhile, check out the updates of the Heads-Up Championship (final at 2.30 pm local time) and Day 2 of the €5,000 Luxon High Roller.
