It was a huge battle with many swings back and forth, and ultimately, it all ends without a preflop all-in on shallow stack sizes.
Steinn Karlsson limped the button and Eriks Krumins checked in the big blind. Krumins led the flop for 20,000 and the turn for 50,000, both of which Karlsson called.
On the river, Krumins moved all-in and Karlsson called with the for top pair. Krumins had that beat with and won the duel after more than two hours and twenty minutes.
Karlsson has to settle for €2,000 while Krumins now gets a short break prior to the semi finals at 3 p.m. local time. More on that in the next stage!
